S p a c e

This is my attempt of a personal post. To be honest, the last time I tried typing one of these was when I was seventeen. I didn't have much fun when I was seventeen, lol.

A few months back, I decided to have a social media hiatus. I wouldn't really say it was a hiatus, more like delete my whole existence on social media, lol. The reason was simple. I was tired of getting e-mails of people telling me what to do, what to wear. I was tired of being judge. But most importantly, I woke up one day and just told myself - I'm putting out so much for the public to see, what's left to be personal in me? It was all my own fault.

I had my own little phase where I started to rebel on a lot of things. More like a 'finding myself' phase. It freaked out a lot of people who were close to me when I decided to drift away. Funny as it seems, because of that, I discovered the company which I should and should not keep. Remember the saying, whenever you're lost and you put your all to Him, He'll guide you back? I'm pretty sure He did and I'm thankful for that.

I want to type more, really, I do.

But I think that line pretty much sums it all up.

Sephora Malaysia : My Wishlist

I consider Sephora to be a girl's best-friend. What's not to love about them? Their products are of assured quality and they offer huge selections of make-up and other beauty products which are hard to choose. Shopping Sephora products has become way easier now that they are available on ZALORA!

After browsing around, here are a few products which I've added in my wishlist pile:-

Sephora's lipsticks have always been a staple item for me, especially the ones in the Ral Rogue collection. Their lipsticks are matte which gives you full coverage to last all day long. The colour I chose in particular is R21 Ingenuous, perfect for natural make up and a day out, giving you a polished nude look. Another plus point for Sephora lipsticks is they contain both blackcurrant and olive oil which allows smooth application. It glides smoothly and is ultra-pigmented too!

I started wearing liquid eyeliner only when I was nineteen. By then, most of my college mates have been pros while I was still stuck with pencil and crayon liners. Thanks to this baby, Sephora's Long Lasting Eyeliner with High Precision Brush gave me the confidence to learn my way through applying liquid eyeliner! The rich black formula is highly pigmented, perfect for creating both dramatic and natural looks your heart desires. The ultra-fine bristle brush gives perfect precision for professional application, giving you the dreamy cat-eye look!

My favourite eyeshadow look is a smokey eye. These two eyeshadows are my often used colours! Sephora's Mono Eyeshadow are highly pigmented with a shimmer finish, perfect for any event. The two colours which I picked are Tiramisu (left) and Hawaiian Beach (right). To me, Tiramisu is a perfect colour for the outer crease of the day while Hawaiian Beach can also be used as a base and a highlighter. The shadows are also ultra-smooth for easy application and blend-able texture.

Item number four is Sephora's Sun Disk Light powder foundation. I like to use powder foundation to help set my liquid foundation, however with this product - I don't need to use liquid foundation at all. Just a few strokes of concealer and a touch up of Sun Disk Light's peachy tones and I'm all set!

Recipe: Fruit Infused Water

L: Strawberry, Pineapple & Mint // R: Green Apple, Watermelon & Pineapple.

H O W - T O

I was first introduced to these by Farah. Farah used to be one the person who I could most related to in office since we shared pretty much the same taste and passion for girly things. One day, she brought her tumbler which was filled with her own watermelon fruit infused water. This, sparked my interest on Pinterest. Since I had an early day off work today, I decided to try my own.

To make these, there isn't really a strict procedure or list of ingredients to follow. Just cut up your favourite fruits and put them in cold water. My suggestion, these are best served either with ice or chilled for an hour or so. I did mine in mason jars so it'll be easy to last me through one - three days.

For starters, it's a prettier twist from the normal H2O. Not only will having fancy water make you drink more (perhaps you may even exceed eight glasses a day with this one!) but each fruit contains its own nutrients which are good for the body. Some health blogs even use this idea as a method to detox their bodies.

Do let me know if you've tried it and share some other combinations which are delicious! I'm planning to revamp this blog slowly, which may include more updated posts and diys. Till next time, x.

Beauty Finds : January

January has been a month of change for me in a lot of aspects. One of the is in terms of beauty products! Due to my skin being such a flop lately, I've stopped using liquid foundation, bronzers and blushers. I cheat with concealer and powder at times, but that's about as heavy as it goes.

LUSH's Mint Lip Scrub, Sugar Lip Treatments in Honey and Rose, Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner and Benefit's Watts Up!

These are my beauty finds for the month! Having Sephora near your vicinity both at work and home can be such a pain. Having a colleague who acts like the devil and influences you to enter Sephora every single time you pass through it doesn't help it either (coughs)! However, these products have been my lifesavers and I hope you'll like them as much as I do!

Montreux, Switzerland

Pictures taken by me, edited using Adobe Lightroom 5.

Montreux is a part of the French-speaking region of Switzerland. It is located near Lake Geneva. Across the lake from where we were is France. We spent only a night there before moving on to Vienna. We spent the evening walking and taking pictures at the lake. We also took a bus to Vevey where Nestle's headquarters is located.

This was the last place we visited in Switzerland.
