Montreux, Switzerland

Pictures taken by me, edited using Adobe Lightroom 5.

Montreux is a part of the French-speaking region of Switzerland. It is located near Lake Geneva. Across the lake from where we were is France. We spent only a night there before moving on to Vienna. We spent the evening walking and taking pictures at the lake. We also took a bus to Vevey where Nestle's headquarters is located.

This was the last place we visited in Switzerland.

Guilty Pleasures Tag

Merry Christmas to those celebrating! Malaysia isn't much of a Christmas celebratin' country and it's usually times like these when I miss New York the most. Growing up there, being able to indulge their culture and lifestyle will always be one of the best experiences of my life. Something non-related to Christmas, stumbled upon this tag at a blog so I decided to give it a try. Happy holidays! x

The Guilty Pleasures Tag.

  • What is your guilty pleasures?
    • Does One Direction count? If so, yes. That's a guilty pleasure of mine. But I'm not really ashamed of it anymore. They're hot. They're my age. Ada chance. Hahaha.
  • Share something you did a long time ago that you're still ashamed of.
    • When I was eight, this boy in my class liked me. During exams, he passed me a paper saying he liked me. Then I replied saying boys are disgusting. But a teacher caught us passing the paper (coincidentally, this teacher hated me) so.. yeah. It was embarrassing.
  • Share one bad habit you have.
    • My friend, said that I have the tendency to evil glance at people without realising. Its really because my contact lens tends to run around when I've worn them for too long, which results to dry eyes, thus.. the glancing.
  • Reveal one lie you've told.
    • "I love you".
  • Big or small, what is one silliest thing you got upset or angry over?
    • I get upset when I get only two packets of chilli flakes. Really. I hoard chilli flakes since I like to put them in my aglio olio.
  • Something you're really bad at?
    • I'm bad at maths. I'm bad at consoling people when they cry. I'm bad at life, really. I don't think I'm doing a good job at it - as of now.
  • Share something you preach but never done?
    • I tell people to not care but I always end up being the one who cares most. I tell people to not over think, but little do I know myself, I think a lot. I also tell people to surround themselves with good people but I always end up being in the wrong group, lol.
  • Reveal one act of revenge.
    • I find revenge a waste of time. Whatever people do to you, they'll eventually get a taste of their own medicine. Stooping to their own level would just be you digging your own grave.
  • Name someone you used to envy.
    • I envied Melanie since she's with Theo Walcott. Still envy her.
  • Mischievous thing you did in your childhood?
    • I wasn't much of a child during my childhood. But I used to play hide and seek with my neighbours, basically trespassed into empty houses and hide under sewers. It's disgusting but I find it our own little adventure.

Earliest Birthday Surprise

Pictures taken by me, edited using Adobe Lightroom 5.

Currently going through a batch of pictures I took from yesterday's little party! The boys decided to celebrate my birthday a bit earlier since they won't be here. Every one got a party hat each, ate tons of barbeque chicken wings and pizzas. No party of mine would be complete without Yupi candy and was surprised by my favourite, Black Forest cake. Recorded a few videos of us dancing to Taylor Swift and One Direction. Even busted three balloons just to play with the helium. It was a nice party for three, I enjoyed it very much. Will post more here once I have the time.

Later that night, us and a few others watched Paddington Bear. I doubted that I would enjoy the movie as I believe every cartoon always has a sappy part which would make me cry. But I laughed most of the way through. The movie even made me miss London more, I have to  go back there.

p/s: Time flies so fast, can't believe I'm turning 21 (yes, twenty-one) in less than two weeks! x

Engelberg, Switzerland

Photos taken by me, edited using Adobe Lightroom 5.

En route to Mount Titlis, we rode a cable car from a town called Engelberg. We went there by train from Lucerne, the place where we spent our first few nights in Switzerland. The place is known for its ski resorts and according to Wikipedia (lol), for its clean air. Engelberg definitely tops one of the beautiful places I've ever visited. Its beautiful transition of greenery to grey rocks to white blankets of snow truly made me fall in love with the country, more and more.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Photos taken by me, edited using Adobe Lightroom 5.

Here are some photos from Amsterdam a few months back. During that time, it was their season transition from Spring to Summer. The weather was lovely, though there were 50% chances of rain - it was cold and the sky was always clear. I love Amsterdam and I would not mind living there. It's very calm, and they practically have all the stores I tend to/want to shop at. I went crazy in Zara Home, food is easy to find and the people are friendly. It's easy to go around. I finally have the mood and time to go through the photos and edit them. I cannot wait to share you the beauty of Switzerland next! x

The Inevitable Change of Emotion

The inevitable change of emotion.

Emotion, powerful yet weak. Makes a human enhances his or her weakness yet builds another to shield. Emotion, itself, is like a burden. Whether beneficial or otherwise, it will always be something to carry. Something uncontrollable, a question to always ponder - why a person feels a certain way. Magically, yet deadly.

Like its title, it is unavoidable. One day you may feel as if he is whole, the next, you start questioning whether there was a hole to patch in the first place. Perhaps, the hole was invisioned in own's misconception of perhaps greed made the hole be patched twice.

Flaws and All

“إذا كان الحب يُعمي عن مساوىء من تُحب، فالبغض يُعمي عن محاسن من تكره."
If love blinds you from seeing the faults of the one you love, then hatred blinds you from seeing the good things in the one you hate.

Reflect your flaws, see the things which you need to change. Surround yourself with people who are honest to you about their perception to you. Take advice with an open mind and never, ever think they're for the bad - they are reminders, for you to be a better person.

I know its hard sometimes, but try.
